Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant

The Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant in Lusby, Md., shown here Thursday, Friday, Feb. 28, 2002, is within 50 miles of Washington, D.C., and has been under tight security every since Sept. 11th. People who live close to the facility have mixed feelings about the risk it poses and will been given potassium iodide pills to protect them from radiation leaks in the event of a terrorist attack or any other accident should it happen.
