Job description
BHI Energy is seeking a Sr Level Electrical or Mechanical Engineer for a 1+ year contract assignment. Position requires 50% travel - day trips. (Mankato MN, Red Wing MN, Fresh Island WI)
Looking for candidates that came from a manufacturing background and/or design consulting. Will be working on managing /supporting power plant construction - Pumps, pipes, switch gears, diagnostics, writing specs, inspecting installation.
Job Details / Essential Job Functions: Engineering and Construction Engineer.
*Manage power equipment installation and replacement project at multiple sites.
*Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system.
*Develops functional requirements.
*Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
*Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates.
*Designs and tests components and integrates components to produce final product.
*Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
*This candidate will act as a primary technical resource. Strong coordination skills also required.
