Job description
Field Machinist (Temporary Contract)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Machinist to perform pipe cutting, beveling, and pipe preparation using Wachs split-frame machining equipment. This is a temporary project running August through November.

Candidates must be able to pass a background check. Nuclear power plant experience is preferred, but not required. We offer competitive pay, per diem, and travel pay.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Wachs split-frame pipe cutting and beveling machines.
Perform pipe cutting, beveling, and preparation to required specifications.
Inspect equipment and maintain a safe, clean work area.
Follow all site safety procedures and quality standards.
Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Travel to the job site as required.
Qualifications

Experience operating Wachs split-frame pipe machining equipment preferred.
Previous field machining or industrial pipe fabrication experience.
Ability to pass a background check.
Nuclear plant experience is a plus.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladders safely.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in confined and tight work areas.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
