Job description
Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Engineer (Major Equipment) opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN at the Y-12 National Security Complex.

Description:

The Major Equipment Mechanical Engineer will support the following tasks:

Estimating, specifying, designing, procurement and construction support of specialty and first of a kind equipment such as gloveboxaes, furnaces, high vacuum systems and metal casting/machining equipment.
Creating design concepts using Pro/Engineer (CREO) CAD software and topology optimization software as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
10 years of relevant experience
Experience leading multi-discipline machine design efforts is preferred
Experience producing build-to-print equipment fabrication packages is preferred
CREO parametric experience is preferred

Other Job Requirements:

United States Citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOE Q Security Clearance. Active Q preferred.
