Job Description/Duties:
• Maintain, repair, inspect, rebuild, and construct various types of power plant equipment and structures, while diagnosing and correcting equipment malfunctions.
• Inspect, repair, maintain, and align various types of mechanical equipment, including turbines, boilers, scrubbers, motors, pumps, valves, compressors, and motorized vehicles.
• Lay out and identify the types of rigging used in the direct erection of rigging systems and blocking.
• Compile information, generate reports, forms, and documents as required.
• Mark blueprints to document any field changes that occur.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
• 3-5 years of experience in heavy industrial/power plant environment preferred.
• Vocational or Secondary degree preferred.
• Remain observant and possess normal color vision, with the ability to detect abnormal operations through sight, sound, and smell.
• Knowledge of basic power plant operations and Lock/Tag out systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
