Expected salary range of $118,800 to $132,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Responsible for planning and coordinating labor, material and other resources to assure timely and cost effective completion of work by respective departments in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in compliance with the company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. Provides direction and technical expertise to station associates and other external resources to complete assignments . Develops scope, plan, and estimates for outage and non-outage maintenance activities and the improvement of projects. Identifies and evaluates maintenance trends and recommends corrective action.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Prepares work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of modifications. Provides support as directed for studies, root cause analysis (Corrective Action Program), and field evaluations on new and modified material, tools, procedures and engineering practices to improve department performance and develop/share best practices.
  • Develops and coordinates short and long term maintenance schedules with all station departments and other external resources.
  • Conducts field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification activities.
  • Define procedures, drawings, equipment and materials required to perform planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation.
  • Verifies that work instructions are adequate and in compliance with all applicable company procedures, codes and standards.
  • Interfaces with others to identify and resolve work package issues.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience OR
  • Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license with 5 years of related experience OR
  • Associate degree with 7 years overall of related experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 9 years of related experience
  • Practical working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations required for a safe work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Analytical and problem resolution skills, adaptability to change and strong initiative
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, establish work priorities and achieve results with minimal supervision
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Nuclear Plant planning experience 
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
  • Previous experience with plant modification engineering, design, installation, and testing
  • Multi-site experience
  • Multi-departmental experience
  • Operations experience
  • Collective bargaining experience
