Construction began on 1 June 1966. It was a heavy-water-moderated, gas-cooled reactor of about 106 MWe gross. It was connected to the grid on 1 January 1973. Problems with the steam turbines led to the end of operation in mid-1974, and the reactor was permanently shut down in July 1974. Dismantling of the plant was completed in autumn 1995.
