Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
10 runs
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Seabrook 1 has logged 10 breaker-to-breaker runs, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 525 days, and its runs average 504 days.

Seabrook Station is on the Atlantic coast at Seabrook, New Hampshire, about 40 miles north of Boston and about 10 miles south of Portsmouth. Seawater from the Atlantic provides its cooling.

It has one Westinghouse four-loop pressurized water reactor. Construction began in 1976. The Clamshell Alliance formed that year, and in May 1977 more than 2,000 protesters occupied the construction site, with 1,414 arraigned on criminal trespass charges. A second unit was cancelled in 1984 at about 25 percent complete, after roughly $800 million had been spent. Public Service Company of New Hampshire, the original owner, went bankrupt in 1988. The reactor connected to the grid on May 29, 1990, and entered commercial operation on August 19, 1990.
