Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
5 runs
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
Callaway has logged 5 breaker-to-breaker runs, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 521 days, and its runs average 499 days.

Written by NukeWorker from public records: facts that do not change. Operator, status and capacity come from the live data elsewhere on this page. Sources: Wikipedia: Callaway Nuclear Generating Station.
Callaway Energy Center is a single-unit nuclear plant in Callaway County, Missouri, in Auxvasse Township near Fulton, about five miles from the Missouri River, which supplies its cooling water.

Construction began on September 1, 1975. The plant has a Westinghouse four-loop pressurized water reactor, one of two built to the SNUPPS standard design, with a General Electric turbine-generator. It was first connected to the grid on October 24, 1984, and entered commercial operation on December 19, 1984. In July 2008 the owner applied for a license for a second unit, a 1,600-megawatt Areva EPR, and withdrew the proposal in April 2009.
